Missions (External Ministries)

Every church is included under the Lord's commission to evangelize, both near and far.  All three of the synoptic gospels include the Great Commission at the climax of the book. cf., Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24. Therefore this church intends to give at least 10% of its total collections to ministries that are external to the local church. Even when funds are low, we still struggle to maintain this commitment.  Some of these ministries are focused on compassion for people's physical needs, but their central purpose is always to show and teach God's love in a way that people will be drawn to a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.

• ReaLife Ministries in Louisiana and their ongoing Katrina Relief project, Operation Feed My Sheep

• A  number of other ministries are supported as well but not on a regularly scheduled basis.
